[Sca-cooks] quick update on my Fledgeling...

Hi all!

Got a call from Annie last night and a short note today. She's doing well-
second day of classes today. She figures if she can survive Freshman year
she'll be ok- of course there's Freshman year...

She's close enough to Pike Place market to walk down for her fresh veggies
and fruit and such. (Only problem being the streets are very like those in
San Fran- and it is uphill on the way home!) She was making noises about
splurging on a wee bit o fresh seafood when her financial aid check comes.
Her building (couple of Cornish students, lots of UW students, a few misc
folks) had a BBQ the other day- she made kabobs of fresh stuff from the
Market, marinaded, and they were a hit. (*snif!* I guess I trained her
right!). She doesn't have a phone yet (that has to wait for the check too)
but she says the phone in the student lounge is usually available, and with
her phone card she can call home...

I'm beginning to think that I can exhale soon... ;-D)
