THere are basicly two companies that still produce a heralds trumpet, they
sell for between $900 and $1500. THere is a very ceharp version that is
available for about $225 but the tone is very bad and it is difficult to
play since the mouth peice is not up to professional standards. If you are
interested Ican dig up the addresses for the compainies.  I did the research
a couple years ago looking for said trumpets for our Medieval Faire.
