Greetings to the cooks of Ealdormere.

We wish to send a short note out to those who may have been insulted by a
description of an Ealdormere event that was recently referenced on this
list. The writer erroneously wrote that Baron Menken "often has a burger
stashed under the high table so he doesn't have to eat that weird medieval
stuff".

While we are both admittedly fussy eaters, Menken has never sneaked his own
food to a feast at any time in his 26 plus years in the SCA. This sort of
practice would be highly disrespectful of the efforts of the countless cooks
whose feasts he has attended and enjoyed over the years. It has never
happened and it will never happen in the future.

We are sorry for any hurt feelings that may have resulted from the event
report and we both look forward to many delicious feasts at future events.

Many thanks,

Eleanor and Menken
