I hadn't thought about it specifically, but we bought a couple sets of those
foam mats (got 'em at Sam's Club) before Banquet dels Quatre Barres, and
they *really* made a big difference. I've got 'em in my kitchen at home now.
An advantage, besides cushiness, for short people -- they effectively lower
the counter height about an inch.

And I wear sneakers with orthotic insoles when I cook.
