oh heck yes, try pheresis! much easier.

you need to make an appoinment for pheresis. no "walk ins" usually.. and
they cant do it at a bloood drive usually...  but they let you bring music
and headphones. or let you watch a movie on tape or Cd at the center while
you donate....it takes a while.. about two hours.  not at all as fast as
whole blood.

another thing is that the needle is *smaller* than the whole blood needle.
at least the ones they try to use on me.

go into your local donor center and explain you would like information on
being a pheresis donor.  its fun to watch them fall all over you .

oh, and tell them you are on the marrow registry, it saves them time on the
matching...
