[Sca-cooks] OP electrical equipment question

Ok, there's this cool-looking piece of equipment at the thrift store. It's
got a shallow baking dish with glass lid on top of some sort of electical
pad with two handles and a slider setting thing for various dishes. Anyone
know what it might be? Would it be handy for dayboards or for cooking
without a kitchen... say in classes?
