I'm a regular platelet donor (or was, before my knee surgery), and very
much like to be on the marrow donor registry, but they won't have
anything to do with me because I'm overweight. (!)
Go figure...I'm almost abnormally healthy, have a lifestyle free of all
those nasty risk factors, and they can't/won't use me.
More power to you, Kirsten, for doing it in spite of your fear.
