one thing annoys me about the whole "exposed to chicken pox" thing.
i told every doctor i ever had
"i NEVER had chicken pox"

not one ever warned me about transfusions or anything .. and i only found
out about the vaccine by *accident* and asked my doctor.....
"oh, you dont need it, people your age ? you got it.. you just had a mild
case..."
"nope, never"
"well you dont need it"
"i _want_ that vaccine."
"well you need a titer (antibody) test first, or your insurance wont pay for
it... and i am telling you, you HAD to have had chicken pox"

no antibodies to chicken pox turned up... never had it.
so i get the vaccine
never a word from the doctor about how sorry he was, and no other doctor
ever told me i COULD get vaccinated... or asked if i had had it.

glad i got the vaccine that time i was in the chirurgeons tent when a
suspected chicken pox case came in....

never had measles, chicken pox, or any of the other biggies......
had "croup" every year until i was ten.. even though that is a disease that
is usually the "under two" set.
