Yes, I do. That is what I usually have used. But I've also had problems with consistancy with them. Often many too large pieces. Sometimes too many small pieces. So I'm checking out other ways.
Perhaps as you suggested with the food processor, I need to try to do smaller amounts at a single time in the chopper jar and empty and fill it more often.

Huh? Why do you let the water run continusously in the sink? I'm not sure I get the connection to chopping and grinding by hand. So you can flush the scrap parts down the disposer? Just habit? Sounds wasteful.
