Yes, I do. That is what I usually have used. But I've also had problems with consistancy with them. Often many too large pieces. Sometimes too many small pieces. So I'm checking out other ways. 

Perhaps as you suggested with the food processor, I need to try to do smaller amounts at a single time in the chopper jar and empty and fill it more often.

I am most happy doing all the chopping and grinding by hand.  I have a habit 
of letting the water in the sink run to accompany me while doing chores like 
that.  Of course, I let the water run when I clean too.

Huh? Why do you let the water run continusously in the sink? I'm not sure I get the connection to chopping and grinding by hand. So you can flush the scrap parts down the disposer? Just habit? Sounds wasteful.
