In my parents home, it was always an antipasto. Cheeses,salami, various
hams(italian, not boiled), olives, red and hot peppers, artichokes, white
asparagus, anchovies, and lettuce leaves....and I'm not Italian.My brother and I always
fought over the asparagus and the anchovies.
