exactly!  a cheese glass, as opposed to a jelly glass, which was larger.
 and totally unsuitable for a youngster to use for beer!  8)

many of my mom's hungarian recipes would call for shortening/fat "the
size of a walnut".  now, i have seen all sizes of walnuts....
