It's about time for my afternoon nap. No more after Sunday - I'm to work doing taxes until April 15th. I put on a pot of mixed beans to soak. When I get up I'll drain and rinse and add meaty ham hocks, onions, celery, carrots, garlic and anything else I can find that might be interesting. Cover with water and simmer until the meat falls off the bones. After the beans are cooked, I may add some tomatoes, but it depends on how I feel at the time. I'll either make cornbread or corn casserole to go with it. Maybe an applesauce cake for dessert.
