Anahita,

I join you and many others in the tears. I woke up to the news of the
Shuttle and all I could say was "Oh, Dear God, Oh Dear God", and I assure
you it was a prayer.
My nephew is a graduate of the Air Force Academy, an F15 pilot, then
qualified at Edwards AFB in California as a test pilot. He spent the last
two years at Hurlbert Field in Florida where the beginnings of the shuttle
pilot course. It's his dream and has been for years to fly the shuttle.
His sister, my niece, saw Sally Ride at a presentation and it set her on
her way to an engineering degree at MIT. She has worked for the commercial
space effort, and is now working on the Mars Lander.
Their shared dream is to fly into space together.
The space program has inspired these two young people to stretch their
minds and wills to the highest extent, as it has many others.

Pray for the Space Program as you pray for the families of these
astronauts!

Regina Romsey

Perhaps inappropriate, but there was a bit of humor in this morning's
news...
A spokesman for the Nagadoches Airport stated:
"Shortly after 8 this morning a large steel tank fell onto the runway. It
was about 5 feet in diameter, and covered with shrapnel holes. We got a
bulletin to expect a flight of military planes, so we got a pickup and
loaded the tank into the pickup and hauled it off the runway."
Uh...fellows...

I heard around 7 AM California time. I listened for a while. I cried.
I turned the radio off. There's nothing i can do. I will await news
of what caused it to happen.
