I know for feast planning at large events here in Atenveldt, a kingdom
coronation usually has 250 reservations and comes close to selling out, so
the total attendence including people who bring their own food or go out to
eat is probably around 400. But we probably only have about 4-6 events that
size a year. Even with 3 large baronies close together, we have many weekend
events with 50 to 150 in attendance. Every year I hear talk about cutting
down on the number of events (1-2 per weekend kingdom wide) to up attendence
at the remaining events. Our event fees are usually gaged to cover the cost
of the site and feast is often extra. These fees average $5-8 for site and
the same range for feast with some free sites having the admission of a toy
for tots. (We have one high school in my local district that is still free,
our Baroness works there.) We are currently adding a non-member surcharge of
I think its $3 per adult site fee that goes directly to coporate. For those
events that used to charge a non-member surcharge with the money going to
kingdom, the kingdom has so-far elected to not increase the surcharge, but
eat the loss of the funds that now go to corporate. This includes Estrella
War. Otherwise we just risk losing those attendees all together.
