The trays like you use at cafeterias are good for serving, even tho they are
plastic or some such,  they are sturdy and some that you get are a reddish
brown, from a distance they look much like wood.   I take mine camping with
me clean and steralized and in a large trash bag, so they stay clean. and can
be chlorine bleached with no problem.   They are wonderful not only for
serving, but if you need to cut up veggies or anything else for cooking they
are perfect.
