This is a good site. It doesn't say so, but
I suspect that it's tied up with the project on
American Regional Slang.

Another place to look would be the
Dictionary of American Regional English which
is really good on food terms. It's still in
printed format only and I have never splurged
yet and bought the volumes that are available.
