I'm not sure whether you mean 'intellectual property' (i.e. copyright) or
lack of plagarism, or what. In general, if you have created a menu based
on inspiration from someone else's menu, probably crediting them would be
polite.

If you use their recipes, credit them; if you print their recipes in your
feast booklet or on the web, you should probably ask first.
