Greetings.  The Eighteenth Leeds Symposium on Food History and
Traditions will be Saturday, 29 March, in York, England.  (Drool!)
The topic is "The Changing Face of Food" and includes Tom Jaine on
"The English kitchen"; Eileen White, "Soups, broths and pottages";
Ann Rycraft, "The herring"; Anne Wilson, "Blancmange"; Gilly
Lehmann, "Fricassees and olios"; Laura Mason, "Boiled puddings";
Fiona Lucraft, "Baked puddings".  Cost is 13.50 pounds.
Reservations and fee go to C. Anne Wilson, c/0 Brotherton Library,
University of Leeds, Leeds, LS2 9JT no later than March 7.  No one
there seems to be e-mail connected,  so if you have any questions,
or want to know what info to put on a reservation, let me know.
