And now, the “old favorite”, Savory Toasted Cheese
Brie 8 oz
Cream Cheese 8 oz
Butter 4 oz
Melt cheeses and butter together and beat together. The original recipe served it over 1 lb of cooked, cut asparagus spears and 0.25 lb cooked and crumbled bacon (optional), but I now use it as a generic vegetable sauce. I suspect that the original dish was more like a rarebit, which would be mainly cheese, served over toast.
For the feast, I used green beans.
