I'd prefer a wider ribbon, I think. I think this width ribbon is overused
in the SCA. Of course I've just started looking into this recently, and
I'm really concentrating on the 12th century, but I think most bands and
embroidery I've seen are much wider. But then I think we also overuse the
metalic trims as well. However, perhaps even this width could be used along
with other trims or multiple pieces of this trim to create a wider trim.
With the 3 inch trim, I was thinking you might be able to lay another
strip of trim in the middle.
> what do you think of the pattern?
I think it is too plain. Did they use simple bands like this in period?
But then since you need to sell a certain amount to make this practical,
using this trim as the starting place for creating a medieval looking
trim might be the best, rather than selling it with a geometric pattern
embedded in normal thread in this trim.

Okay, what do these two mean? Is the satin a thinner, shiney material?

For myself, I think I'd prefer the Dark Blue, Maroon, Red or maybe the Grey.
