The candles are a-burnin' and the prayer wheels a-spinnin'!

Your father is in our prayers... he is lucky to have a loving daughter such as yourself,
and to have had the chance to be with a lot of his family on July 4.
If he is strong like you, he'll consider "six weeks" to be a challenge!

Do be sure and take some time to take care of yourself.
Look up the local SCA if you really need a break.
I'm serious... I have in-laws in Alabama and
the Alabama SCA folks we have encountered are super nice.
In our case, my in-laws are around B'ham so Jared
made contact with Vulcan's Forge. We did not wind up
having to move back there but they could have made it tolerable.

Light and strength be with you and all your family,
Selene Colfox, Caid

They moved him from the local hospital to the VA hospital in Montgomery on the 2nd. They confirmed his diagnosis of non-small cell pulmonary carcinoma and have given him about six weeks to live. He is better, now, and got to come home in time for the mini-family reunion on the Fourth. We go back to Montgomery on the 10th for a bone scan, and will move the RV to my sister's house in Montgomery for the duration then. Perhaps I will have more of a chance to write again after that move.
