Johnnae wisely pointed out to me in private email that it might be
considered a slight to the original book's following if this little
cookbook venture continued with the name "Traveling Dishes."

Rather than keep the subject line and permit a regrettable
misunderstanding, I'm giving my little coobook idea a temporary holding
name of "Moving Feasts" (as in dishes that are portable or that move
you because they're so good).

Concerning possible recipes, Jadwiga wrote:

and listed Strawberye, toasted cheese, and a few other things as
excellent examples of the kinds of dishes that could be brought to
potlucks, dayboards, or feasts under adverse conditions. I'd be very
interested in seeing these kinds of dishes included if you'd like to
provide them, Jadwiga.

And Maire, thank you for the description of the queso blanco making you
sent to the list. Is there a recipe that people have in particular been
working with in this regard or is it just soft cheese experimentation
in general. Generys, was it you who also mentioned you'd been playing
with this? I think soft cheese would be a wonderful adverse conditions
feast item.
