Your filet of beef is, like Gaul, divided into three parts.  The center
section is the porterhouse. The tenderloin portion of a Choice or Prime
porterhouse is the Chateaubriand or Chateaubriant.  It is cut 2 inchs thick,
should weigh a pound or more before trimming. It is always broiled or
grilled.  So sayth Julia Child in "Mastering the Art of French Cooking".
