had me wondering about whether period pasta dishes had meat mixed in with them. For instance, are there period pasta recipes that are pasta with sausages mixed in? Or pasta with ground meat or sliced meat mixed in? I guess there were both meat and fruit filled pastas, such as the cuskynoles but I was thinking a mixture of meat and pasta. Or do we have mixtures of cheese and pasta but not meat and pasta? I'm not sure lassagna counts since that is more of a layering, rather than a mix. Or do we even have period meat lassagna? I think we've discussed lassagna here before.
