But I thought the roasters were capable to temperatures much greater 
than what crockpots are capable of. I'm trying to think of my hot pot 
getting hot enough to roast something, and I can't imagine it. I 
thought the advantage of crockpots was their ability to give a long, 
lower temperature, constant heat. Perhaps boiling but not roasting hot. 
Mine does have a low and a high setting.

I like the idea of them being able to do double duty as a warming pan.
