Hello :)
I'm working on getting a couple of late
period cookbook published.  In one of them is
a couple of recipes for Plague water.
If you use them, and put them in a booklet, I
would appreciate having you give me recogintion 
for them. thank you.
Dr. Burges Plague Water
 Take 3 pints of Mufcadine, and boyl in it Sage and Rue, of each a
 handful tilla pint be wafted, then ftrain it, and fet it over the
 fire again, put therto a dram of long pepper, Ginger and Nutmeg, of
 each half an ounce being all bruifed together ; then boil them a
 little, and put thereto half an ounce of Andramachus Treacle 3 drams
 of Methridate, and a quarter of a pint of Angellica Water.  Take a
 fpoonful or two of this morning and evening.
 
 To make Plague water
 
 Take a pound of Rue, of Rofemary, Sage, Sorrel, Celendine, Mugwart,
 of the tops of red Brambles, Pimpernel, Wild Dragons, Agrimony, Balm,
 Angelica, of each a pound ; put thefe Compounds in a Pot, fill it
 with White-Wine above the herbs, fo let it ftand 4 days, then Diftill
 for your Ufe in an Alembeck.
