[Sca-cooks] Sweet Potatoes, OOP, but not OT

Are sweet potatoes still popular in England and Spain? I don't recall 
running into them when i lived in France. And when i was travelling 
in Andalucia in 2000-2001, i ran into lots of white potatoes, but i 
don't remember seeing sweet potatoes on any menus.
