[Sca-cooks] What would you do?

For whatever reason the cook did not get the money from the smaller group
until the evening before the day before the event, and then it was in the
form of a check that couldn't be cashed until the next day (the day before
the event). The event had 250-300 people, but not that many signed up for
feast, so a rough guess would be 75-100 feasters. The prepayment deadline
was about a month before the feast, but in my experience getting money out
of some of the local groups can occasionally take awhile (up to weeks).
