okay.... olwen, cover my back.... ready?   dessert for a feast... panels of 
shortbread, glazed (or maybe a thin sheet of marzipan that can show folds 
and wrinkles) with scenes from the tapestry 'painted' on it.

maybe not period, but spectacular....
