[Sca-cooks] alternatives to A&S competitions

We've also started doing competitions in a face-to-face judging format, 
which some people-- especially those with unusual arts-- have found gets 
them more and better feedback because the judge is constrained to respond, 
even if they would normally scutter off to something they feel more 
comfortable with.

On the other hand, with 2 big competitions of this type in a row, we now 
have people asking if some competitions can go back to what they call 
'dump and run', where they set up their stuff and their documentation and 
GO AWAY somewhere so they don't have to deal with the stress of being 
judged. :)

I'm running an arts exhibition this coming weekend, and I'm working really 
hard to drum up enthusiasm for it... We have both Laurels and non-Laurels 
exhibiting and I feel that it will be a great place for people to network 
on their arts. :)
