come to the outlands!  

 high desert... green right now from the rains.  beautiful vistas,
spectacular sunsets, canyons and arroyos that cut the earth into layes
of rainbow rocks, winds that bring fear into your soul and summers
succor to your fevered cheeks, keepers of the cualdrons who live in
horro that someone somewhere isn't getting enuf to eat, fine red-headed
celtic women of independent minds (many younger than i), singers of
songs and tellers of tales to entrall both the child and the granddad,
dark eyed women who dance around the fires at night, warriors, rapiers,
archers, equestrians,  fine bardic fires (propane and lovely if momma
nature says too dry for natural flame)

where the wind whips down the canyon walls
and the water's honey sweet
where the sunsets glow like firecoals
and the earth's warm 'neath my feet
the outlands, my sweet home

and it IS the land of manana... not tomorrow... just not today.
