[Sca-cooks] OOP: Kettle cakes

the name makes me think of dutch oven cooking, actually.   tho it is quite 
american.

however, a lot of irish cooking was done in a bastible, from bread to stews 
to roasts, so the idea of cooking a 'cake' in  a pot is not untoward, eh?

i seem to recall a recipe some many years ago for making cake in a crock 
pot.
