The first recipe is called Kettle Cake and the second is Boiled Chocolate
Delight Cake.


Here's the reply on the mixed spice ingredients:
"Mixed spice - after my inquiry a while back I discovered this is a
combination
of nutmeg, cinnamon, cloves, various versions I found also include ginger
or/and allspice. The proportions were either equal, or start with equal and
then change to suit taste."
