That was me.  Working from memory:

4 hard-boiled eggs, peeled
1 12-ounce chub breakfast sausage
1 egg, beaten
1 platefull of half soya flour and half wheat bran, mixed

Divide the sausage in equal quarters and use each to enrobe a 
hard-boiled egg completely.

Roll this ball in beaten egg, then in flour-bran.

Deep fry in oil of your choice [I like peanut oil for its stability at 
high heat] until the balls are well browned.

This is quite posh if you use quail's eggs.  Salmon eggs, on the other 
hand, did not produce a tasty result.  :-P
