I have a friend with an alcohol reaction, so I am careful to let people 
know if wine is in a sauce, even if that means stationing someone there 
to recite the ingredients. :) But I find that given the small amount of 
alcohol in a sauce, if someone doesn't have a wine, sulfite or alcohol 
issue, it really doesn't affect kids. Now, if you are making, say, a 
strawberry pudding, I recommend sparkling red grape juice instead of 
wine. :)
