[Sca-cooks] Cookie Exchange Recipe

"Aunt Jo's Oatmeal Cookies"

2 eggs
1 c brown sugar
1 c white sugar
1 c shortening
Pinch salt
2 c flour
4 c oatmeal
1 t baking powder
1/2 t baking soda in 4 TBSP HOT water
1 t cinnamon 1/2-1 t vanilla

1 c coconut (or 1 c butterscotch chips)
1 c nuts

Cream sugars and shortening;  add eggs and other ingredients.  Bake on
ungreased baking sheet at 350 F for 12-15 minutes


This is an old family recipe.  I think Aunt Jo was my Grandma's aunt...
