Birthday of Isis - Ancient Egypt - Mother Goddess, wife of Osiris and mother
of Horus.  A powerful magician, she gathered Osiris’ scattered remains and
put him back together, making him the God of the Underworld.

Kulig* - Poland - After Christmas, when there's been a deep snowfall,
friends take to several horse-drawn sleighs for the Kulig- a winter sleigh
party. They throw firecrackers as they ride, and children tumble into the
snowdrifts. When they reach a suitable spot in the forest, they make a fire
and prepare a hearty supper. Afterward they may dance around the fire.
