Correct ... and a good statement to establish that.

Statements like that one are inherently false arguments.
If you study and apply Rhetoric -- specifically to watch
for 'false rhetoric' or 'logical fallacies', you will call
this particular form of discussion, 'Anonymous Authority'
or 'Appeal to Anonymous Authority'.
See, "Stephen's Guide to the Logical Fallacies";
http://www.datanation.com/fallacies/
His website lists many book references,
"The Logical Fallacies: References";
http://www.datanation.com/fallacies/refernce.htm
In that list, one citation (a secondary reference)
refers to Aristotle.
With some help from Google's ravens, I offer this
translation of a primary reference ...
Aristotle; "Rhetoric" (ed. J. H. Freese);
http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/cgi-bin/ptext?layout=;doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A1999.01.0060;query=toc;loc=3.19.1
BTW, should we accept Aristotle's words on Rhetoric
without question?
(1) They have been critically reviewed and have had many
additional comments added for about 2,400 years.
(2) Read and decide for yourself.

They were on their way to Birka ... big send-off party ...
got too happy ... slow start ... went too fast ...
took a wrong turn ... lost ... denial ...
wouldn't ask directions ...
