Almost forgot! I meant to send this during the fruitcake discussion, but 
since it is a cookie....

Butterscotch Crispies *
 
1 egg
¼ cup granulated sugar
¼ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tablespoons flour
dash salt
½ cup finely chopped nuts
¼ cup finely chopped mixed candied fruits
½ tsp vanilla
 
Beat egg until light.  Beat in sugars, stir in flour, salt, vanilla, 
nuts & fruit.
 
Drop batter in tiny mounds from tip of knife about 1 ½ apart on well 
greased cookie sheet (about size of small grapes)  Bake in slow oven 325 
5 to 8 minutes.
