[Sca-cooks] P things to put on bread?

Hey, everyone... I have a question about things to put on bread for my
feast. I picked up some really cheap herbed soft cheese and thought I'd
serve that; there will be small amounts of schmaltz for the Jewish course
also. I'm hesitant to serve butter because butter is so seldom used in
Spanish recipes. So, I'm wondering about serving good vinegar and olive
oil for people to eat with their bread. Is there any evidence that this
was ever done in period?
