[Sca-cooks] P: handwashing and grace

So, I've been writing up a blurb for the handwashing at the event this
weekend. It occurs to me that I don't know if Muslims do/did perform a
blessing when they wash hands before the meal (as observant Jews do/did).

Also, I was planning to put a note about the handwashing being followed by
a blessing in Jewish tradition, but my Jewish friend wonders if this is
inappropriate. what do you think?
