[Sca-cooks] growing rosemary...

There is a saying when growing perennials (including perennial herbs) 
that I have found to be pretty much true..."the first year they sleep, 
the second year they creep, and the third year they leap".  Be patient 
with your rosemary, and make sure the soil drains well.  Think about the 
mediterranean climate where it comes from, and how you can recreate it 
(i.e. good drainage, mulch with sandy, gravelly stuff, etc.).
