I was sure someone else would have posted it by now, so I didn't
even look. But since I haven't seen it yet, here is what I have saved on
my computer. Sandra

At its most simple:
3/4 cup salted butter
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups all purpose (plain) flour

Warm the butter in the microwave just long enough to make it
workable. Beat with the sugar until well creamed (the mixture, not
you...). Add the flour, mix well.

Roll in even "logs". Refrigerate. Cut in 1/4" slices, cook in pre-heated
oven at 350F, for about 20 minutes. The edges will turn a little brown but
not the top.

YOu can add vanilla, brush with egg white then sprinkle granulated sugar,
you can add orange rind, whatever... but the basic recipe is really it,
and simple.

Enjoy
