Ginger paste is really good in marinading beef sliced for jerky (I brush it 
on the slices then toss in a marinade).  I also use it in some of the 
stir-fry things I do.  I really like ginger and garlic so the pastes really 
are nice and less work intensive than starting with the real thing.
