[Sca-cooks] Grand Marnier Cake subsitutuions

    A while ago, someone asked about doing variations with that wonderful
recipe, "Cranberry  Grand Marnier Poundcake."   They toyed with the idea of
using apricots.    Well, I did that variation last weekend.  I used my own
home-infused apricot  brandy  {in case there are 'revunooers spying on the
List} and dried apricots.  The taste & texture of the cake is just as
wonderful,  the apricots, that I had chopped into small bits were a bit
drier & chewy-er  than when they came out of the bag.   Worth trying with
other possibilities.
