Ours was ground beef and onion, pretty heavily spiced, kept in freezer in
1 serving packages for kids to put in noodle mixes or mac&cheese, add
leftover carrots and peas, mushroom soup, mix up and top with leftover
mashed potatoes, sometimes sprinkled with parmesan and baked. A no work
hot meal. Tomato sounds icky!

The ground beef in my mom's version was generic to spaghetti sauce, chili,
sloppy joes, shepherd pie, just the sauce varied.
