Actually, as I remember, it was the spicy bean sauce commonly used in
Schezuan cooking- about the only instance in which Chen-san used a highly
spiced bit for on of his dishes, in thgis battle. Normally, he uses it
fairly frequently.

I believe the bean sauce referenced is a concoction of beans and chile
peppers, but I don't think I have a recipe handy. Adamantius? Or, shall I go
surf the 'Net?
