Hm.. interesting new website from Perdue, part of their Center for New 
Crops and Plant Products:

Includes a new crop index (with online information about various crops 
such as brown mustard, lagenaria species, etc. Industrial, herbal, 
vegetable and fruit crops are all covered. Also includes the full text of 
the proceedings from the last 5  New Crop Symposiums, including articles 
on the development/adaptation of fiber, oil, vegetable, fruit and 
medicinal plants. The FamineIndex is an index of plants eaten under famine 
conditions. Projects including a class on History of Horticulture and a 
paper & slide show on the fruits portrayed by Caravaggio (1571-1610) are 
all of interest.
