the albuquerque smith's chain has salmon (chum style) for $1.99 a pound 
this week.  it is stated as whole fish, but i am guessing it will be hacked 
up some.

you might want to check out one near you if you have a freezer and are 
planning on salmon for a feast.  don't know how nationwide the sale would 
be.

certainly won't be the best grade of fishie, but should be fine for a fish 
pudding or gelee/aspic or even a highly herbed poaching.
