may i suggest a simple , and very period, snack food?

Vinigered Eggs.

take just peeled hard boiled eggs, and put them in a jar
pour hot viniger over them to fill the jar
(add salt if desired)
seal the jar

works best with wine viniger

(my favorite is Balsamic)

they MUST be drained and dried before serving if you dont have plates,
because the drips , especially if you use balsamic viniger, will stain
clothing.

they keep without refridgeration quite well.
i tend to keep mine in a cooler anyway, but they do keep nicely

if you use Balsamic viniger, the outer layer of the eggs turns VERY dark
brown almost black.... its a kinda cool contrast to cut into them and get
white egg...

i likely will not be able to bring much spare, as i pack the car pretty full
to begin with, but if i can, i will bring some.
